VetAgro Sup, Institute of higher education, is placed under the supervision of the ministry assigned to agriculture, member of the “Université de Lyon” and “Clermont Université”. Particularly involved in food, health and sustainable development issues, VetAgro Sup trains veterinary physicians, agricultural engineers and veterinary/agronomic public health experts. Beyond the initial training, VetAgro Sup assists its graduates to find the best employment opportunities. It can be done through national and international partnerships, but also through its relationships with companies, institutions and alumni networks.
Concerning major issues, VetAgro Sup’s research units partner with national and international research institutions. The school is also involved in many research and development projects.
The school activities are based on strong partnerships with socio-economic world (companies and local authorities) but also on many agreements with universities.
The Consortium of Universities for Global Health (CUGH) will be hosting Outside the Box: Addressing the Sustainable Development Goals through a One Health Approach, a pre-conference session that will explore how an integrated One Health perspective can address opportunities within the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This half-day session will be presented by the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, Washington State University Global Health, UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, the Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC), the Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences, and VetAgroSup
The One Health concept expands interdisciplinary collaboration across all aspects of global health for humans, animals, and the environment.
